Walis.B Tip
Walis.B Tip
- When layering treatments, we suggest working from thinnest to thickest consistency. Waiting a minute or so between applying each treatment will also help to avoid piling.
- Avoid using Vitamin C at the same time as Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acid products (Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, AHA, Mandelic Acid etc) or BHAs. Use Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol OR AHAs/BHAs/PHAs in the evening.
- When adding new products to your skincare routine, we always recommend patch testing. We advise that prior to exposure to sun you use a broad spectrum SPF, immediately and up to 7 days after. To keep your product working at its best, we recommend storing in a dry, cool place (ideally between 15-25 °C) and keep out of direct sunlight. Avoid direct contact with eyes. External use only. Keep out of reach of children.
FAQs
FAQs
HOW OFTEN CAN I USE VITAMIN C SERUM?
We recommend using this once per day, during your AM routine to take an advantage of full antioxidant properties. We recommend using a broad spectrum SPF in your AM routine if you are using Vitamin C.
MY VITAMIN C SERUM HAS CHANGED COLOUR, WHY?
Although we have used stable formulations, the slight change of colour is due the nature of the natural materials used in the formulation and are therefore prone to oxidation - we can however confirm that this does not negate the efficacy, nor the safety of the product. Tips to avoid that is by closing the lid immediately after use and storing the bottle in a cool dark space back in it’s box.
CAN I USE VITAMIN C AT NIGHT?
Yes you can! It is most beneficial during the day due to the antioxidant properties but you can certainly use it in the PM too if you prefer.
CAN I LAYER VITAMIN C SERUM WITH OTHER INGREDIENTS?
We do not recommend layering this with exfoliating acids (Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid etc), BHAs and Retinols. This is because mixing those ingredients can lead to irritation, so we recommend alternating them. We suggest using Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol OR AHAs in the evening.
CAN I LAYER VITAMIN C AND NIACINAMIDE?
You can safely layer Niacinamide alongside our Vitamin C serum. We do not, however, recommend using actives with Niacinamide and Vitamin C as this could sensitize your skin and be potentially irritating. Remember to always apply Vitamin C first, wait for 5-10 minutes for better absorption and follow it by Niacinamide.
I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN, CAN I USE THIS?
Yes our Vitamin C is a gentler formula but we still encourage patch testing.
WHAT IS VITAMIN C?
Vitamin C is an antioxidant and helps to brighten the skin. It not only helps protect against free radical damage resulting in younger skin, but also stimulates multiple skin cell activity including collagen synthesis and stops enzymes that create melanin resulting in refreshed and brighter skin.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Products can take up to six weeks to show full results, due to the time it takes for your skin cells to turnover and the results of any products to reach the surface. Consistency is key, so apply regularly even if you’re not seeing the effects straight away. It can be very tempting to increase use of some products to try and see quicker results, don't overdo it though. More is not necessarily more, and overuse can cause irritation and sensitivity.
IS THIS SAFE FOR THOSE WHO ARE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
Yes! You can safely use Vitamin C when pregnant or breastfeeding.
CAN I USE THIS WITH PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION?
We would suggest you consult with your doctor/dermatologist
.WHEN ADDING NEW PRODUCTS TO YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE, WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND PATCH TESTING. Learn how to patch test.
